Is a Thank-You card still a thing?

Dear JobArtist,

I recently applied for a job and I have the point of contact from my interview. Is it still a thing to send our a personal thank-you card or is this completely outdated and unnecessary? I've already followed up with an email and I don't want to come across as desperate. What should I do?

If you are questioning whether or not to send a thank-you card, do it. Absolutely no one is going to have a lesser perception or change of heart by receiving a note of gratitude. In fact, I would say since it is so rare to receive physical mail this may just set you apart from the pack. Saying thank-you never goes out of style. Plan and simple.
