Responsibilities

The American Heart Association (AHA) has an excellent opportunity for a Graphic Designer at our office located in Dallas, TX.

In this role, you will support the growing needs of Emergency Cardiovascular Care (ECC) in helping design and produce educational materials for both lay and healthcare audiences.

This person will be involved in both domestic and international materials, and will work closely with ECC, Production Solutions, Procurement, and AHA print vendors.

This position is critical in insuring the success of ECC.

Here are some of the essential job duties :

Designs CPR and first aid materials including student and instructor manuals, DVD packaging, posters, etc.

Produces, prepares and packages files for release to print and replication vendors

Reviews PDF proofs produced by vendors

Review and approve both physical and electronic printer proofs

Works closely and assists Art Director (ECC Design Account Manager) and Account Manager

Works with internal clients, freelance vendors and printers

Attends ECC client and vendor meetings

Completes print specifications for print jobs

Attends and proof press checks in Dallas and out-of-state

Qualifications We are looking for your expertise in the following areas.

Bachelor’s degree in the related field

Minimum 5 years of extensive experience with all matters of design, publication layout, production, and printing via work in advertising, graphic design or related field

Here are the preferred skills and experiences :

Knowledge and proficiency of Adobe Creative Cloud; InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop and Acrobat Pro

Working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook
