The Beats Product Design team seeks a driven and resourceful graphic/color material finish designer to support collaboration between Marketing, Design, Engineering and Product Management teams. You will be responsible for exploration of concept, development, and execution of world-class designs. The role requires an inquisitive, prolific designer with knowledge of category-specific consumer trends to develop the future of Beats product.
Key Qualifications
Bachelors degree in Graphic Design, Product Design, or a related field, or 5 years experience performing a role substantially similar to the essential functions of this job description
Ability to develop creative solutions and designs under tight schedules
Proactive, self-motivated, and adaptable to a dynamic and fast-paced team
Proficient in Adobe suite
Ability to create compelling patterns and illustrations
A precise eye for color and detail
Some 3D design experience, Keyshot or a similar program
Description
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify opportunities to develop innovative strategies for color, materials, finish
Proactively provide perspectives and strategies based on current and upcoming trends in art, fashion, and design Ideate, render, and prototype models with a wide variety of compelling color, material, and finishes
Work with producers, engineers, and vendors to create models, color and material targets, and production samples
Analyze and deliver clear and concise feedback to improve the quality of assets/deliverables
Support on-going production with clear and consistent documentation
Draft presentations for executive review
Provide feedback on hardware samples (product parts, models, color chips, etc)
Provide feedback on color and hardware renders for e-commerce, packaging Design and maintain archive documentation
Contribute story-driven, forward-thinking color palettes
Compile and create production documentation with precise attention to detail
Education & Experience
Bachelor of Arts Degree Preferred
