Creative Director – Audible, Newark, New Jersey
DESCRIPTION
Audible - an Amazon company and perpetual innovator – is looking for a Sr. Creative Director to join our Marketing team in Newark NJ.
The successful candidate will be responsible for strategic projects and creative development across key growth initiatives at Audible. As a leading voice in the development of marketing communications and advertising, this individual will be responsible for producing audience insights, writing creative briefs and collaborating with internal creative teams, media teams, and agency partners. They will always stay current on users, interactive and emerging media trends in the marketplace, and creative best practices.
This individual will oversee Audible’s creative process and agency briefings across identified initiatives, ensuring the optimal internal team and external partners are involved. This individual will serve as a close, collaborative partner to Audible’s external creative agencies.
This role requires a customer-obsessed, strategic mindset with an ability to partner closely and collaboratively with Firestarter teams, external agencies and the Marketing department. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
· Drive Creative thought leadership and plans for key initiatives designed to provide distinction to Audible’s brand and offerings.
· Translate research and data into actionable insights to support marketing, advertising, and digital design strategies.
· Steward marketing projects from inception through completion, providing oversight and execution support.
· Oversee Agency briefings and relationships.
· Determine the right Creative team for large initiatives.
· Present Creative work to Senior Leadership.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
· Bachelor's degree required.
· 15 years of relevant creative strategy, strategic marketing, and/or creative agency experience.
· Deep experience working closely with or at Creative Agencies.
· Proven record of developing and executing creative strategies to drive significant growth.
· Demonstrated ability to partner and collaborate with teams across an organization to achieve business results.
· Strong written and oral communication skills.
