Come join the Custom Team in Chicopee. We are looking for a creative mind interested in making custom artwork supplied by our customers and changing that into workable art including distortion to support fulfillment of Custom Truvis logo orders. This is a fast-paced and highly visible role within the golf ball plant.
JOB OVERVIEW
This role is responsible for convert artwork supplied by customer, sales or order management into workable art including distortion to support fulfillment of Custom Truvis logo orders accurately and timely. This function will also be responsible for the production and inventory of plates for these orders.
ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Create rendering from customer order in DMS
Work with Customer and Logo Coordinator to finalize artwork
Upon approval of artwork, artist will use Adobe Illustrator software to create distortion for art to be used for plate making
Artist will create films for exposure unit plate maker
Artist will manufacture plates to support order. Quantity to be determined by order size.
Artist will coordinate first piece inspection with set up tech to insure quality and distortion are acceptable
Plates are put into envelope for and identified for use in the kit assembled for execution of the order.
When order complete, plates are returned to artist and plates are catalogued and stored for potential future use.
Will be responsible for inventory and cataloging of artwork
Artist will maintain inventory of supplies to support the plate making operation.
Works towards improvements for process efficiencies
Work in a safe manner following all PPE and standardized processes
Perform all other duties as assigned by the Supervisor.
TECHNICAL COMPETENCIES (Knowledge, Skills & Abilities)
Must have excellent organizational skills
Must have excellent communication skills, verbal and written
Strong problem solving skills
Must have strong Microsoft Office skills
Expert in Adobe Illustrator
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
High school diploma required, technical training in graphic arts or related area strongly preferred
Experience in computer art design.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS / WORK ENVIRONMENT (if applicable)
The employee may be frequently expose to fumes or airborne particles
The employee is regularly required to sit for long periods of time
The employee will be required to use normal office equipment (i.e.: computer, phone, copier, etc.)
Will be required to use vision including close vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus
Occasionally required to lift up to 50 lbs.
