Position Description
The Art Director is responsible for translating complex consumer and business needs into simple and elegant design solutions that are industry-leading and brand-defining. He/she will collaborate, develop solutions, and make recommendations based on experience, user research, marketing strategy, business partner input, and industry best practices. This position reports directly to a Manager on the Marketing Creative team.

Ability to perform design critiques and supply objective feedback to designers
Strong critical thinking and analysis skills
Strong knowledge of graphic design including typography, color, concept, and layout
Experience designing solutions for web, mobile, and print
Ability to build and maintain strong relationships
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:Four-year college degree (Fine Arts, Visual Arts, Marketing, Communication, Graphic Design, Digital/Web Design, etc.)
Five or more years of creative design experience preferred in an agency or in-house creative department
Portfolio or work samples showcasing creativity and depth of thought coupled with fluency in best practices for Graphic Design/Art Direction
Computer/software skills: Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator)
Have an understanding of:
o Motion Design/After Effects (animation, etc.)
o Google Web Designer
o Experience in digital advertising and email/web design is a plus
o User Interface/User Experience design experience a plus
o Design principles
o Prototyping methods and tools
o Web technology
o User-centered design process
o Presentation methods
o Collaboration techniques/tools experience a plus
