We're looking for a Visual Design Manager to join Snap Inc! You’ll lead a team of illustrators, animators, and graphic designers in Snapchat’s consumer product organization. Working from our Santa Monica, CA headquarters , you’ll collaborate with multiple teams within Snapchat including our Product and Engineering teams. We’ll need a thoughtful, focused, and hardworking person to help us grow and lead a team crafting Snapchat’s Geofilters, Geofilter templates, Stickers, and in-app animations.
What You’ll Do
Hire and manage a talented team of visual designers and animators
Lead the creation of Geofilters, Stickers, in-app animations, and other creative assets to improve the Snapchat experience
Create and work on a comprehensive roadmap for Geofilters, Stickers, and other in-app visual assets
Formalize design review and critique practices
Be open to giving and receiving design feedback
Minimum Qualifications
2+ years of experience building and managing a large team of designers
Bachelor’s degree
A portfolio showcasing your design work
Experience using in Sketch for Mac, Photoshop, Illustrator, and/or other design tools
Preferred Qualifications
Excellent communication and presentation skills
Ability to clearly communicate design decisions
Comfort writing user specifications
Ability to work in a team environment
Comfort using digital drawing tools such as tablets and styluses
Experience with photomanipulation and photo manipulation software
Experience designing and developing concept art
Ability to work within design and style guidelines
Fine arts education background preferred
Refined taste in art and an eye for design
Ability to multitask within tight deadlines
Someone who thrives in an environment that requires quick turnaround times
