Are you a UX-minded web developer who can translate designs into high-fidelity interactive prototypes in partnership with User Research and Design? This role works in an agile, collaborative environment alongside UX/UI designers, developers, product managers, strategists, and copywriters to design and implement ground-breaking modern and experience-driven work.

 

The Microsoft Cloud and Enterprise team is currently seeking an experienced, motivated, creative, and customer-focused Designer / Prototyper.

Responsibilities

 

 

Requirements: 

  • Minimum of 2 years UX development skills as a design professional or equivalent experience

  • Strong experience with core front-end technologies, including JavaScript and JS frameworks as ReactJS, JQuery, HTML5 and CSS.

  • Strong understanding of CSS preprocessors such as LESS and SCSS.

  • Passion for invention, human-computer interaction, and seamless user experiences

  • Strong interest and understanding in regards to enabling User Research through prototyping.

  • Confident presenting and promoting design solutions

  • The ability to wear many hats and contribute across disciplines

  • A history of prototyping or designing delightful interactive experiences

  • Experience working with a multi-disciplinary team of designers, developers, researchers and program managers

  • Self-motivated and comfortable with the ambiguities inherent in incubation work

  • Brainstorming skills, from participation to leadership

  • A strong interest in design, technology, and trends, with an eye toward the future  

 

Desirable skills & experience: 

  • Experience developing with object-oriented and MVC/MVVM patterns

  • Experience on a prototyping team, rapid design deployment team, or design team a big plus

Qualifications

Ability to meet Microsoft, customer and/or government security screening requirements are required for this role. These requirements include, but are not limited to the following specialized security screenings: Microsoft Cloud Background Check: This position will be required to pass the Microsoft Cloud Background Check every two years.
