Graphic Designer

Summary:

Graphic Designers create visual concepts, by hand or using computer software, to communicate ideas that inspire, inform, or captivate consumers. They develop the overall layout and production design for the product and/or packaging. General Duties are carried out as directed by Director of Product Development and Design.

Essential functions:

1. Design Product, Product packaging and merchandising including: electronic renderings, physical mockups, floor/counter displays and print collateral

2. Create Trade show graphics and sales collateral when needed

3. Create product documentation – Catalogs, Manuals, etc.

4. Update existing documentation, packaging, sales materials to reflect changes due to product evolution, trends, user comments, and design changes, etc.

5. Optimize packaging size/weight constraints based on weight and volume analysis for shipping

6. Support product development, work directly with design team & project managers to understand the products, target audience, collect feedback and update documentation accordingly

7. Photograph products, product use scenarios, website graphics

Skills/Experience Requirements:

1. Associates degree in Graphic Design and at least 3 years relevant work experience or -Bachelor’s degree in Graphic Design and at least 2 years relevant experience

2. Speed and agility; ability to work efficiently and effectively under pressure, developing creative design within tight deadlines

3. Self-starter with strong work ethic and ability to manage own time and take initiative

4. Adobe Creative Suite (expert or pretty much close to an expert), including Illustrator & Photoshop

  3. Outstanding attention to detail, highly organized and creative, ability to visualize in 3D

  4. Ability to organize and plan workload independently without direct supervision
