The Digital Design and Architecture Team is comprised of folks in the following disciplines:  User Experience (UX) Design, Content Strategy, User Research, Design Operations, Accessibility and Design Systems.

The ideal candidate is self-driven and motivated. The designer will work with stakeholders to create concepts and ideas to solve complicated business cases, within the context of our existing design system. The designer may be called on to propose new patterns and designs to solve complex problems.

Job responsibilities include wireframe production, visual design, and prototyping for both web-based and mobile properties. Additionally, this role actively supports usability testing, and uses KPIs alongside the analytics and business teams to make design decisions. The designer also participates in the quality assurance process by ensuring User Experience designs are properly represented in builds.

  • Able to listen to and thoughtfully interpret positions and requirements

  • Able to articulate thoughts, positions, and concepts through verbal and written communications, across audiences of varying size and technical acumen

Technical & Design:

  • 5+ years’ experience with User Centered Design, design-thinking, and design sprints

  • Expert in web design principles, including usability, interaction design, design systems, responsive interfaces

  • Must have a working knowledge of Material Design and/or Human Interface Guidelines as applied to mobile

  • Adept at modifying graphics using editing software

  • Strong knowledge of wire-framing / prototyping

  • Strong working knowledge Sketch preferred

  • Able to build interactive prototypes via prototyping tools (experience with Axure a plus)

  • Understands and values usability testing as part of the design iteration process

  • Fully competent in translating business requirements into design solutions

  • Experience leading design reviews

  • Able to work productively in an Agile cadence

  • Strong knowledge of usability and accessibility principles

  • Experience working with design systems

  • Experience with UX design canvases a plus

  • Stays up to date on the latest design trends
