Motion Graphics Artist – Ellen – Burbank, CA

SUMMARY OF POSITION: Work with a dynamic and collaborative team of creative individuals to deliver a wide variety of motion graphics packages for all digital platforms.

Ideal candidate will be a self-starter who possesses motion graphics and animation skills, strong graphic design skills, and can manage multiple projects. Will offer creative thinking, innovated approaches, and collaboration with the team to deliver strong content in a timely fashion.

The right candidate will have the following attributes:

  • 2-5 years of hands-on relevant motion graphics experience

  • Intermediate level in Adobe After Effects, Photoshop, & the Adobe suite of programs (knowledge of Illustrator and/ or 3D is a plus, but not required)

  • Able to design and animate title cards, lower thirds and miscellaneous series graphics and social content

  • Skilled in logo design / series look development / ad hoc graphic design

  • A strong creative vision that is both inspired and commercial

  • Proficiency in hand-drawing and illustrating; for example, to create storyboards and illustrations

  • Able to key green screen / composite backgrounds into keyed footage

  • A good sense for timing, pacing and working with music

  • Capable of creating and designing Emojis (In Adobe Illustrator – a plus but not required)

  • Ability to create quickly, efficiently and integrate notes on the flyDeep knowledge of the production and post process with the ability to troubleshoot tech issues

  • A genuine interest in and aptitude for the type of shows ellentube Studios makes

  • "Gets" the Ellen brand and voice

  • Can work positively and collaboratively with writers, producers, and editors

  • Grace under pressure, great people skills, high integrity

  • Great organizational skills (both with media management & personally)

Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with Production staff and other stakeholders during all phases of production

  • Develop motion graphics as needed to support video production

  • Establish and continuously pursue new design and graphic editing techniques

  • Ability to quickly execute concepts under tight timelines
